  • Portfolio spans tenant lifecycle, data intelligence, mobility, and informal rental solutions.

Innovation meets capital in South Africa’s built world

REdimension Capital has announced the final close of its Real Estate Technology & Sustainability Fund I, with total aggregate commitments surpassing R250 million. As South Africa’s only dedicated property technology and sustainability-focused fund, this milestone reflects strong investor confidence in the potential of proptech to transform the country’s built environment.

The fund’s differentiated platform model connects real estate corporates, financial investors, and technology companies, creating mutual value through strategic partnerships, pilot opportunities, and sector-specific expertise.

Investments and why they matter

The fund secured new commitments from Hyprop Investments and RDC Property Group, alongside increased backing from existing investors such as Burstone Group, Growthpoint Properties, Rand Merchant Bank, Liberty Two Degrees, and Sphere Holdings.

Collectively, this investor base controls over 750 commercial real estate buildings and 12 million m² of lettable space — a network that gives portfolio companies unmatched market access.

Since its first close in July 2023, REdimension has built a diverse portfolio of high-potential companies operating at the nexus of property, technology, and sustainability, including:

  • Admyt - ticketless parking and mobility solutions, including Mallpass.
  • RE-Tec Solutions - tenant lifecycle and property management platform.
  • The Good People Data Company - compliance, workflow, and data-as-a-service platform.
  • Rode Publications & Media - market intelligence and analytics platform.
  • Roomking - linking landlords and tenants in the informal rental market.

These investments align with the fund’s thesis: backing bold founders to deliver scalable innovations that improve efficiency, environmental performance, and user experience in the built world.

Investments ahead

Now fully capitalised, the fund is entering an execution phase focused on deploying capital into a robust pipeline of early-stage technologies while deepening value creation in its current portfolio.

Co-founders Peter Clark and Matthew Marshall emphasise the fund’s active partnership approach:

“We believe real transformation happens where capital, innovation, and collaboration intersect. Our goal is to build high-growth, scalable businesses that deliver measurable impact.”

By leveraging its strategic investor network and sector knowledge, REdimension Capital is poised to help shape the next generation of built-world technologies, delivering innovation, sustainability, and inclusive growth for South Africa’s property sector.
