Last night, REI presented to a packed house of over 150 property investors in Pretoria, and the room was buzzing with positivity, insights, and a shared passion for the endless opportunities in property investing.

I found it particularly inspiring to read about Koos Bekker, the chairman of Naspers, who has made a significant pivot from media mogul to real estate investor. Bekker’s decision to invest in luxury real estate, from Babylonstoren in Stellenbosch to now eyeing properties in the UK, Italy, and Holland, is a powerful testament to the untapped potential in the real estate sector.

Over the years, he cashed out more than R6 billion in Prosus shares to invest in high-end real estate, and it’ll be fascinating to see how his strategy unfolds. Stay tuned for an in-depth look into his property journey!
