What a Week at REI!
Happy Friday, Investors!
It’s been an action-packed week at REI, with plenty of developments in the property and business world that you won’t want to miss. Let’s dive into the highlights:
A Week of Political Drama
This week saw some unexpected twists in the political landscape, with Finance Minister Enoch Godongwana postponing his much-anticipated budget speech until March 12. The delay comes after a pushback on his proposed VAT hike from 15% to 17%.
This has sparked a lot of debate, especially with the government’s message of driving economic growth. Waldo Marcus of MRI shared some valuable insights in his article ‘Finding the Money to Change South Africa’s Trajectory: A Look Ahead to the 2025 Budget,’ and we encourage you to check it out!
