What a week! Positive Moves in a Challenging Market
Happy Friday, Property Enthusiasts!
It’s been an eventful and optimistic week for the property market! The Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) has announced a 0.25% reduction in interest rates, lowering the repo rate to 7.75% and the prime lending rate to 11.25%. While some in the real estate sector were hoping for more significant cuts, this move is still seen as a positive step, offering much-needed relief for homeowners and investors navigating the tough economic environment.
In other encouraging news, the Cape Town CBD is in better shape than ever before! The Cape Town Central City Improvement District (CCID) has had a standout year, ensuring the city centre remains a stable, safe, and business-friendly environment, which bodes well for property values and investor confidence.
We also had an exciting and informative webinar yesterday, where we explored the power of property auctions. With so much happening in the property space, there’s no shortage of opportunities for savvy investors.
And on a lighter note, don't forget to catch the weekend rugby action! The Springboks look to finish their year-end tour with a perfect 3-0 record and secure their No. 1 spot in the world rankings.
Go Bokke!
Have a fantastic weekend ahead, and we’ll see you back next week with more property updates and opportunities.
