Happy Friday, REI Family!

As we navigate the ups and downs of the property market, let’s keep ourselves productive and focused on growth prospects! Despite challenges, there’s plenty of exciting news to share this week.

High Street Auctions has received a boost from Afrirent, paving the way for ambitious expansion plans, including opening offices in the remaining provinces of South Africa and venturing into the SADC region. This is a fantastic step forward for the real estate landscape!

We’re also thrilled about the upcoming launch of a 10-part TV series showcasing a dynamic group of real estate agents dedicated to selling stunning multi-million Mauritian homes. It’s a great reminder of the vibrant opportunities in our industry!

In Cape Town, the property market is buzzing with many launches of new developments. Under the effective leadership of Mayor Geordin Hill-Lewis, the city continues to showcase resilience and strong governance, even in the face of budgetary challenges.

At REI, we remain optimistic about the impact of the Government of National Unity (GNU) on the property market. While factional politicking and municipal inaction can pose hurdles, the newly elected Tshwane mayor, Nasiphi Moya, is committed to fighting corruption and improving services for residents—an effort we hope brings real change. Investors will be closely monitoring that space to see if that materialises.

Let’s stay positive, educated and inspired with REI’s incredibly investor rich money making content in trying times. Attend our next Thursday webinar day to get you on the property ladder as we continue to build our community and seize opportunities together.

Here’s to a fantastic weekend ahead!

Yours in property
